SYNC Your PlanPlus Online Contacts, Tasks and Appointments with Microsoft® Outlook®

What you need to know before you download:

  • Keep Contacts, Tasks and Appointments consistent and "in-sync" between Microsoft Outlook and PlanPlus™ Online even as new information is added and edited from within either application.
  • Download the application and install it on the computer where Outlook is running. If you have multiple computers, each with their own Outlook you will have to choose one to begin the sync. Syncing from different Outlook data sources may lead to duplicates in each database.
  • Outlook Contact information is considered to be your private data and is flagged as private upon being brought into PlanPlus™ Online. In order to share those contacts with other users in the account, the contact records will have to be de-selected as private. A Private Contact attribute will appear next to the private contact's name in the contact edit window. e.g.
  • If you are a PlanPlus™ for Outlook user, SYNC needs to differentiate between Daily and Master tasks. For SYNC to do this, you must visit the "Account Setup Wizard" inside PlanPlus™ Online and select PlanPlus™ for Outlook.
  • Prioritization of tasks in PlanPlus™ for Outlook will not sync with PlanPlus™ Online. In addition, this utility does not sync with PlanPlus™ for Outlook mission statement, goals, compass and daily notes features.

ATTENTION: If you have previously imported contact information and then perform SYNC, you will get duplicate contact records. If duplicate contact records appear, click here to review a procedure for removing duplicate contact records.

 

 

How To Download and Run PlanPlus™ Online SYNC

Step 1:

Running the downloaded file will add two items to your desktop - A Setup icon and an Execute icon. Either can be used to run the synchronization.

Step 2:

Clicking the Setup Icon will step you through some initial setup pages.

Step 3:

On the next page you will provide your login information for PlanPlus™ Online.

Please note "sync url" needs to be changed to the Server that your account is assigned to.

Step 4:

You may revisit your settings anytime by opening the Setup application from the icon and click settings.

Step 5:

Proceed with the Settings after you provide your user login information.

Step 6:

Choose your version of Outlook under "PIM Name."

Step 7:

Choose the direction you wish to synchronize by clicking the "Configure" button.

Step 8:

Choose your "Transfer Method."

Step 9:

Click the "Applications" Tab.

Step 10:

Click the applications you would like to sync. Generally, Contacts, Calendar and Tasks will be selected.

Step 11:

Click "OK" and "Next" to setup your synchronization schedule. We suggest "Synchronize Manually" until you are comfortable with the process.

Step 12:

You are now ready to launch sync. BACKUP YOUR OUTLOOK INFORMATION PRIOR TO LAUNCH as a precaution. Click the "Synchronize" button or launch the Desktop Executable icon to start synchronization.
